This server can running without memory? What memory this server use? I need to install CM R 4.0

Not sure of your question. 8400 will run CM2-CM5.2. I'm not aware of different models except an 8400B model will only run on CM4.05+ due to the SATA HD drivers.

I can tell you that if the hard disk craps it WILL run on virtual memory and process calls but not allow any operation that would access the disk.

If your talking about the actual memory modules I know they are the smaller modules. I believe it's 512 MB Ram with a solid state 2 gb drive and an IDE hard disk for storage.
