Hi,
Configuration: S8300lsp/G350 CM 2.1
When I try to connect laptop to service port, it seems that the connection exists, but I can't ping 192.11.13.6
(ip address of my laptop is OK - 192.11.13.5, mask 255.255.255.252).
Anybody help me ?
Thanks in advance

open a comand prompt on your laptop.
do not have the x-over cable plugged in.
in the dos window type: arp -d
see if you can ping now.
also turn off your proxy settings or make an exclusion.

you can also try this for a 'shot in the dark.' hit the shutdown button on the S8300. wait for it to shutdown (steady shutdown light). remove the power cable from the 350. wait a half a minute. loosen the screws to the S8300 and pull it out a bit. reseat the s8300. hand tighten the two screws on the s8300. plug power cord back into 350. try to connect again.
I have seen where an s8335 wouldn't work because the s8300 wasn't tightened enough. but be forewarned! those screws on the s8300 will snap if you tighten them down too much.

Thanks, but it doesn't help.
I can't shutdown S8300 properly; when I hit shutdown button the shutdown light doesn't become steady.
I've removed the power cable from the G350 and after that plug back into G350. Only, alarm light on G350 has been red and nothing else has started with some "testing"(none of led-lights flashing). It seems, the system doesn't start with booting. Maybe hard-disc is a problem. Did you have similar problem?
Any new ideas?

G350-001(super)# sh mg li
SLOT TYPE CODE SUFFIX HW VINTAGE FW VINTAGE
---- ------ ---------- ------ ---------- -----------
v0 G350 PC1053 B 0 22.16.0(A)
v1 -- Initializing --
v2 -- Not Installed --
v3 Analog MM714 A 3 57
v4 E1T1 MM710 A 4 8
v5 BRI MM722 A 1 2
v6 PoE MM314 B 0 N/A
v7 Analog (on-board) A 2 57

As you see, S8300 is always in "intializing" state...

The S8300 is bad. It needs to be replaced. Been there done that.
A long shot is that the slot V1 is bad. You could try it in another G700. You could also try another board in that slot - if it works then it's not the slot.
