Hi all,

We have a S8300 LSP blade serving as its own HTTP server (hosting the 46xxsettings.txt and other files). I need to modify the 46xx file, and I can't seem to get to the right spot to do this - I tried to go via IP/web browser, I tried Putty... Does anyone have any good documentation on how to update the files when the S8300 is serving as its own HTTP server?

I am familiar with Utility servers, and I have no problem updating the files when they are hosted there or on external HTTP servers in our Windows enviornment, but this is new to me and looking for advice or docs... Thanks!

There are lots of ways to do this. A simple way is to use WinSCP to connect to the S8300. Copy the file from the S8300 to your laptop. Edit it, then use WinSCP to copy it back to the S8300.

Thanks Phoneguy55, do you knwo of any Avaya documentation that provides the commands that I'd use once I get accesss? I'm used to utility servers but I think the process would be a bit different.... thanks again.

Dont know of any docs. But WinSCP is really easy to use and free.
Once setup just enter the IP, username, and password of the S8300. You'll then see the file structure, just like a windows display. Simply copy and paste. Easy as that.

You should be able to use "vi 46xxsettings.txt" from linux to edit this file on the server.
