Hello,

S8300 doesn't come up after power on. Service port doesn't answer to ping. It looks like initialization step. Do you have any case like this?

Best regards

I've run into this before. The only way I could get the thing to respond was by booting from CD, which of course meant I had to re-load CM and the translations (which of course we had no backup...we had just inherited the system...)

did you give Communication Manager the 5-7 minutes it needs to come up?

In my case I waited 3 hours (while trying to get someone from Avaya for RFA purposes). It was DOA. Sounds like you may have the same here...

Let me ask you this...does the modem answer?

Is the S8300 an LSP? Does it reside in a G700 or G350? If your laptop is static 192.11.13.5 telnet into 192.11.13.6 or ping -t. If you have console on the Gateway you should be able to ping the static address you assigned in the configure server. Do you get a response from the ping from the Media Gateway to the S8300? If so do the "session icc" command from the gateway and that is another way to access the S8300. See if any of the above will help.

I am experiencing the same problem...Any resolutions? S8300 on a G700 with IA770, single site.
