Hi All: I have an S8300 system where even if I remove the partitioned group entries for routing regarding 911 calling, the 911 calls still go through. Consequently I can't change what I want 911 to do, which is translate to a 213 number that we use for that purpose. Where can the 911 dialing be hiding if not in the ARS?

watch out for what's legal! otherwise, if your ars code is 9, then ars entry 11 would be what they hit.

Now, do you have multiple locations? "display locations" and if you have location 1/2/3, then list ars analysis location 1 or 2 or 3 and then 'list ars analysis' for the ALL table. Rule is that your phone ALWAYS uses what's in its specific location table UNLESS a more exact match exists in the ALL table.

Have you tried doing a list trace station XXXXX? Dial 911 from that station, see if that give you any more information.

With Kari's law becoming in full force soon you really want to be careful about setting your system up to intercept 911 emergency calls now because you might have to fully undo that in the very near future.

That said, more information about your environment might be needed. If these are SIP phones registered to the Session Manager the emergency call processing might not even make it to the CM and could be directly processed in the SM Dial Patterns.
