s3 Virge/gx2

Hi,
i have just connected s3 virge/gx2(thats what xp picked up the card) to an xp. the screen works fine. it has a s-video output. How can i connect this to my TV ? i have tried with the s-video cable to the tv which also has s-video, but i dont see anything on the tv. is there an application i need to run for the driver to recognise the TV??

Yes you need an app to configure the Virge for TV-out. There is no simultaneous VGA and TV-out on these cards. Given that the S3/Virge product is more than 10 years old, there is virtually no chance for you to find such a thing on WinXP. S3 has been integrated to VIA, a taiwanese maker of chipsets, and there are no more S3 products available in america since several years. If you need this feature (I guess that your computer only has a PCI bus), some of the few PCI video card on the market from ATI or Nvidia. They do a TV-out that comes with drivers that will work under XP.
