Hi Guys,

I'm new to Tek-Tips and fairly new to the CS1K system (less than a year)

I've got some phones that are having difficulty connecting to the S1 server. These phones are on a new Voice Vlan which is connected to a new Data Vlan (of which I'm connected to now) So the phones get a DHCP lease with no issues, it's just that they can't contact the S1.

I've looked into the handset itself and found under IP Set Information, that there is no IP Address set for S1 (all zeros) so I'm guessing I've found the issue, but where does the phone grab this info from?

Many thanks!!!

S1 is your Node IP address found in Node Properties

Is the DHCP string correct option 128 should look something like:

Nortel-i2004-A, 1.2.3.4:4100,1,10;1.2.3.4:4100,1,10.

In the example 1.2.3.4 is the S1 & S2 address (Only different if you are using Geo Redundancy), port is 4100.

If you are not using the DHCP server option to supply the S1&S2 you would need to set it manually in the phone.

Cheers for the help, there was a typo in the scope options, a ; instead of a :

These we're copied and pasted from a working VLAN strangely, so I'm not sure why the other VLAN is working?

Thanks again guys!
