S.O.S. urgent ODBC32 Vs Crystal Reports

If I work with CR and alias ODBC 32 I do it with a Access´s database.Why do i must to specific the database rute if I have this route in alias configuration, and when I work with oracle 7.3 client or SQL server 6.5 and change the server of database I have repair the report
