any suggestions, thoughts??

all help is appreciated!

Hmmmm. Does the first fax you posted work properly?

I have seen fax cards go bad, so maybe hook up an analog phone to this fax port to see if it rings and you can talk.

If you have any other detail please provide.

I would assume that you have an analog card or universal trunk card in 4-0-1 as well as 36-0-14 since those are the TNs for your faxes.

Also, we just found an issue with one way audio because the loops were set to VOD instead of 3VCE.

Try send recieve FAX to another FAX on same group.

Are users complaining about any noise or pops and clicks?

Are T1s tracking ok? any slips or bipolars?

Most FAX problems are a result of noise on line. Noise could be from T1s or from FIJI cards so if you can test between faxes on same group and then across group and then out T1 on same group etc.

Also - any errors on switch?

thanks for your replies.

no errors on switch.

both lines have dial tone and ring when dialed (two-way talk good).

and both lines worked as faxes before our upgrade from the 81C to the 1000M, so i'm assuming their both operating on analog or universal cards (there'd be no DT if they weren't).

i will try Tx and Rx on the same group (i'm assuming you're referring to same loop, correct?)

did either of you see any discrepancies in the programming (ncos, cls, tgar, etc)?

Same group = group 0 any loops from 0 to 31
group 1 any loops from 32 to 63

your 2 TNs listed 1 from loop 4 (group 0 ) and one from loop 36 (group 1)

TNs are fine.

Were you able to get this fixed? Was it something to do with Loop 36 (group 1) as Reusser indicated?
