Hi,

I have setup a vpn between 2 sites with an RV082 at each site.

I have setup both ends (all ip etc) and the connection seemed to connect ok.

I have a dns server at both ends and can ping ip addresses and hostnames at each site when connected... so everything looked like it was going to plan...

However, I cannot connect to any network shares??

Anyone any ideas?? Routing? Netbios issues? Access rights on firewall?

I have tryed countless configs to make it work but im getting no where at all!

Any help very much appreciated!!

Many thanks
Maurice

Just to let everyone know i have the problem solved. I basically reset all the firewall access rights so that all lan users can access all ports and all ports to wan1+wan2 are blocked. This is the default factory setting. I can access shares both ways now.

The default factory setting is rubbish really because you want to start with all ports on lan, wan1 and wan2 blocked. Then you open the ports that you want opening - not the other way around!!

I had watchguard previously and they have a much better user interface. However, cost/functionality won the day with the linksys. It is a very good piece of kit, just that you really have to mess around with it to get things working.
