Hello!

I have been experiencing disconnection with the rv082 VPN router, I have the latest firmware update and it still does it, I did read a note from the archive about this but found no solution, Liksys was saying to diable the firewall but still have the problem.

Does someone has a solution?

What sort of disconnections, is the line dropping or are clients simply timing out?

We have several RV082 routers here.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.

My connection between my 2 principal location is dropping. It does work fine for couple days and then the remote location is loosing the connection (VPN). I connect to my VPN through internet et press disconnect and wait about 5 second and the VPN connection comes back as normal.

When loging in the router, my connection is as it was still connected not my tunnel isn't working. I did disable the firewall and it still the same.

I also have other older router and get no problem with them.

Thanks

Stephan

Have you tried enabling "dead peer detection" in the advanced VPN properties of both routers? This will drop and re-establish the connection if data connectivity is lost.

DPD does need to be enabled at both ends.

I did enable it. My other concern is that I loose VPN connection and I think I should not because my internet connection is always on. This may help me get my connection back but my users will anyway loose their connection to the server.

Before the RV082, my VPN connection was always on, nevergot disconnected except when the connection was dropping. Would you have any other solution?

I do appreciate your help!

Thanks

Stephan
