hello, just looking for clarity.
does this device handle T1? My router may not arrive in time to set up my new office tomorrow, but I have a RV082 that I've never even opened. Can I just do CAT5 from the SBC T1 jack to the Internet port on this device?

thanks

encinitas,

I do not think so - the RV082 is for connecting an Ethernet cable to a DSL or cable modem.

Here is a link to the product guide at Linksys and parts on the WAN ports -

Internet (WAN1)
The Internet port connects to a cable or DSL modem.

DMZ/Internet (WAN2)
The DMZ/Internet port can be used in two different ways: a second Internet port, or
DMZ port. When used as an additional Internet port, it connects to a cable or DSL
modem. When used as a DMZ port, it connects to a hub, switch, or public server.

Connection Instructions

1. Before you begin, make sure that all of your hardware is powered off, including the Router, PCs, hubs,
switches, and cable or DSL modem.

2. Connect one end of an Ethernet network cable to one of the numbered ports on the front of the Router (see
Figure 4-2). Connect the other end to an Ethernet port on a network device, e.g., a PC, print server, hub, or
switch.
Repeat this step to connect more PCs or other network devices to the Router.

3. Connect your cable or DSL modem’s Ethernet cable to the Router’s Internet port. If using the DMZ/Internet
port, connect a second cable to it, and the other end to the network device, e.g., modem or public server.

4. Power on the cable or DSL modem and the other network device if using one.

5. Connect the included power adapter to the Router’s Power port on the back of the Router, as shown in Figure
4-4, and then plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.

Hope this helps!
