Can anyone help me..

I'm using a Russian font (OpiumNew) in a piece of Russian design which is setup in InDesign CS2. However when I create a PDF using the InDesign print preset option some of the Russian font charectors are not being displayed in the PDF. (Trust me, this can be tough to spot in Russian!). Now I've tried reformating the text from scratch, changing the text box or even creating a fresh page - but still the problem remains?

It always happens in the same place, however not throughout the whole document.. Any thoughts guys?

You might try preflighting to see font problems. The font could be missing certain characters. You could try a quick print of a problem page and see what happens. If missing, try a differnet font and see what happens.

In the Advanced section of the pdf export window, try getting rid of subset under the Fonts section. Just substitiute 1% for the default 100%.

You also have to be careful of some oddball things with foreign fonts. Sometimes things like Caps Lock vs styled All Caps conflict - losing data for postscript generation so make sure that you don't have conflicting styles in the text.
