I have taken RUP as the SDLC in my project. While developing plan for the project i am facing some problem-
When the proposal for the project has been submitted to customer and later contract signed by the customer we have an effort estimation of 100 person months. In RUP documentation, the example activities for each phase (Inception, elaboration, construction and implementation) the documentation is saying , plan for next iteration for given phase. Now my problem is that is we are not developing the entire project plan (scheduling time/resources) for consuming 100 Person months at the very begining and going for the planning also in chunks how we can avoid the risk of shootingup our effort consumption.
