Runtime error Windows ME

Brand new system with Asus CUV4X mobo, 128mb PC133, Riva TNT2 32mb video running WinME. Everything appears to work fine except when running the MS Interactive Training applet found in Accessories. The program opens, audio is good but a runtime error from MS Visual C++ Runtime Library appears when the video player is called on, and the player & step by step windows blank out. One other error reported "Abnormal program termination" from program C:\Windows\Help\MIT\Training\mrun32.exe
I haven't found any mention of the Interactive Training feature in Windows Me on the Microsoft site or Learnit Corp (program originators)site or any other web sites. Any ideas?

Peruse the windows website for the C++ runtime library updates. There are a few. Although it seems you shouldn't need it, it may help.
