Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a crystal report from a dataset that is created at runtime?

I have created reports from datasets that have been created at design time as they are visible from the datasource explorer and therefore it is easy to drag the field etc. I have not however seen a report that is generated at runtime from a dataset that is created at runtime.

If anyone has any thoughts on this it would be appreciated.

Thx in advance

You might be able to do this, but it's dependent upon Crystal product type and version, development environment, etc.

I think that the report creation functions started in CR 8. There were cheats for previous versions.

Either do a search for whatever product you're using, or instead of describing what does work, state specifics about your environment and requirements and someone will likely supply a link to specific examples.

Hi,

thx for your input. I have been puzling over this for ages. I am using the crystal reports that ships with Visual studio.Net 2002.
I am creating a windows app using vb.net.

Do you know if it is possible to do this using crystal.Net??
