runnung executeable files

I am trying to run this command:
<a href =&quot;file///c¦temp/anl.exe&quot;> however a save dialog box is being opened.Is there anything i can include in my text. Regards and thanks

no u cant, IE does not recognise the .exe format, to do that u may have to create a plugin (i dont know how to do that). i had the same problem, couldnt do much.

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull

Why in the world would someone want to run an EXE without user approval? The only reason I can think of is malicious.

And forget about IE and Windows... What about non-Windows users? What is an EXE good for?
