Running xinit gives error message

Hello All,

I am running AIX 4.3.3 on rs6000 machine, and now would like to get access to it remotely, but I can`t open an X window session remotely

I can telnet in to the machine and when I type in xinit, it gives me the message where I cannot start up x server

Please advise. I am using Reflection software to try to get access to the host machine. I was told that I needed a X protocol forwarding, I am not familiar with it.

Have you set the DISPLAY variable to your Xserver hostname / IP address?
