Hi

I'm tryng to run VNC with inted to display a CDE desktop (have always used Exceed but this always requires a local installation on PC). I have found various things on the internet as to how to set this up but I still can't get it to work. The problems I have are:

1. xstartup is working correctly but shows only a gey screen and terminal window. I have tried changing the xstartup file to have the line /usr/dt/bin/dtsession & but this does not give the CDE screen I have been used to.

2. In trying to get it to function within inetd I have added the following:

To services: vnc 5901
inetd.conf line:
vnc stream tcp nowait nobody /usr/local/vnc/Xvnc Xvnc -inetd -query localhost -once -geometry 1024x768 -depth 24 -nevershared -dontdisconnect -dpi 100

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

Phil.

Hi,

Why don't you try on Xmanager. It's easier to use rather than configure so many things.
