I believe Running Total Fields may solve my issue but I've never used them and don't fully understand what they can do for me.

My report looks like this:

GH1 ABC Bank
Year Minutes
GH2 2007 220
GH2 2008 240

GH2 Main National Bank

GH2 2007 275
GH2 2008 300

Minutes are an averge (detail hidden). I need to show the % Difference between 2007 and 2008 for each bank. Am I going about this correctly by thinking I need running totals? Help is much appreciated. Thanks.

You could do this by setting up two running totals. In each case choose average of minutes, evaluate using a formula:

year({table.date}) = 2007 //or 2008 in the 2nd rt

Reset on change of group: {table.bank}

Repeat for {#2008}. Then create a formula:

{#2008}-{#2007}

Place the formula in the group footer for bank.
