I have a report that has a primary and a secondary group. The primary group is "Provider" and the secondary group is "Collection Agency". There can be multiple collection agencies within a provider. The same collection agency can also exist in several providers:

Provider: COOP
Collection Agency: Mary Collects 12 records
Get the Money 5 records
Where's My Money 10 records
Total records for COOP: 27 records

Provider: Security
Collection Agency: Mary Collects 24records
Where's My Money 17records
Total records for Security: 19records

Provider: Water
Collection Agency: Get the Money 15records
Where's My Money 20records
Mary Collects 30records
Total records for Water: 19 records

The problem is this, when the collection agency "Mary Collects" appears in more than one Provider, the running total for the count of records is adding in the count from the previous group. The count for the primary group of Provider is working correctly.

Can anyone help me with this????

Someone can probably help, but consider demonstrating the table layout and example data.

Providing an example of what is wrong isn't quite as useful as what you have, and what you want.

If you are using the running total editor, for running totals by collection agency, you need to reset on change of group (collection agency). For running totals at the provider level, reset on change of group (provider).

If you are using manual running totals, please provide the formulas you are using.

I am using the running total editor and have already set these to reset on each group.

If you find time to post technical information, someone can probably straighten this out for you.
