Is the following possible or even practical? I don't think it is and I told our client that but if I could get some feedback that would be great.

ColumnA ColumnB ColumnA ColumnB
ColumnA ColumnB ColumnA ColumnB
ColumnA ColumnB ColumnA ColumnB
ColumnA ColumnB ColumnA ColumnB
ColumnA ColumnB ColumnA ColumnB
ColumnA ColumnB ColumnA ColumnB
TotalColumnA TotalColumnB

The purpose for the client wanting this was to avoid have the report push down to 2 pages. But even this way there is still no guarantee that it won't do that given that data records are returned in rows.

Please help me out!

Format your detail section to multiple columm

Thanks for the suggestion and that will be a definite help for the future. I can't do that in the details section as the ColumnA and ColumnB are group lines. Because they can enter ColumnA multiple times in a batch, I am totalling within a certain period.

Formatting with multiple columns will also work for groups. You would format the detail section (even if suppressed) with "Format with Multiple Columns" then go to the layout tab->set the column width and gap between columns->choose "Down then Across" and then check "Format Groups with Multiple Columns".
