Running total from calculated field

hi

I want to create a running total from the value of a calculated field. The calculation in TotalPay is:
=([RatePay]*[TotalHrs])
The calculation in the field on the report footer is:
=Sum([TotalPay])

but this just displays #Error.

Can anyone help?

You could try:

Sum([RatePay]*[TotalHrs])

don't use the word sum go to the properties of the textfield that you have and set the 'Running Sum' value to 'over group' or 'over all' this is under the data tab for the textfield
