I've got a report that is using a subreport to relate the minumum date/time value in a list of info and pass it back to the main report for use in a numbe rof formulas. Specifically to calculate a duration. I need to look at the duration between a value in the main and the shared value to determine as pass/fail criteria.

Now I need to totals of passes and failures but I'm unable to create running totals either manually or with crystals summary functions. I suspect this has to do with the evaluation of the subreport within the report processing model.

Any thoughts on how I can accomplish this? I'm using Crystal 8.5

Dear tman135,

What you need to do is make a copy of the subreport and insert into the report before you need the values...make the report as tiny as possible so that it is "invisible" but don't suppress or the values won't get passed.

Hope this helps, if you need more info let me know.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually just missing an initialization of the shared variable in my main report header that would allow for a manual running total field. The I used a third formula to in the report footer equal to the running total field and all appears well.

Thanks
