I have Proliant 800, which cannot boot from CD. How can I run SmartStart?

install your operating system beginning with from floppys
(if you need to install a raid controller or so on a NT OS, hit F6 and insert a diskette you can make from the diskettebuilder on smartstart CD)
if you need to configure your raidcontroller also, you can download tools from the compaq website which you can start from a floppy.

hope this will help you somewhere

sincerely Bart
