Running Simultaneous ProComm Scripts

I am currently running ProComm V4.8 on a Windows 2000 Server and am having this issue. We can only run 1 ProComm Aspect Script at a time or it seems to spiral out of control. Is there a way to run multiple jobs in separate windows without this spiral effect?

I've never run Procomm on any server (NT or Win2K) and it has never been supported in the past by any company selling Procomm. You might try running on a standalone machine and see if the problem is evident there.

I'm not aware of any problems with multiple scripts running at the same time, but I have not done much work in this area lately. What kind of symptoms are you seeing?

Basically we have an EC Gateway Task that launches a series of processes sequentially. Within these processes, a Command Line Execution happens launching the ProComm Aspect script with Parameters. Looking somnething like...

PW5.exe /NOSTARTUP XXXXReports.wax XXXX 2537

If another ProComm script gets launched while one is already running, it seems to lose it's place and starts dropping through all our processes, spiraling and opening all the ProComm sessions which just sit there and do nothing. The basic thing that all the scripts have in common is they call a "hunt" script (written in ProComm Aspect) which finds and associates a port to the main script.

If you incorporate the hunt script into a procedure in the main script and call that procedure instead of the external script, does the problem still remain?

Is each command line execution calling a different script (indicated by the XXXX characters in the command line), or is it possible that the same script can be run in two separate Procomm windows in your environment?
