Running Shell Command

I am kicking off a shell command from my ASP page using Wscript.Shell object. I see from some of the posts here that it is unlikely to work.

When I look at task manager I can see that the task in question has been kicked off using NETWORK SERVICE account. I presumed that it would use the account that IIS runs under. Is there any way to control what account is used to run a shell object.

I managed to get this to work by changing the identity on the application pool to an administrator account.

How much of a bad idea is that in terms of security?
