I need to make a report that will allow the user to
select from say april 4 to the 10th. And get the data
that way.

Is this possible..If so how.

Thanks
Peter

P.S Boss wants this by the end of the day..Ugg.

Do you want a hard coded report or a prompt that askes the user the start and end dates?

If you want the first, enter a record section formula:
{datefield} in Date(2002,4,4) to Date(2002,4,10)

If you want the latter, create a date range parameter field, and tie the parameter field into your record selection formula:

{datefield} in {?DateRangeParameter} Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
dgilsdorf@mchsi.com

I need to prompt the user to ask for start and end dates.

I insert the date field and then put in the (ranges) in.
But what is the last field..Do I type it like you have???
I don't know Crystal reports at all.

The "last field" you're asking about is the name of your parameter field. If you do Insert->Parameter Field, you should be able to see the name it.
