If I run the following from the dos command line:

c:\Programs\Symantec\ProcommPlus\PROGRAMS\PW5.EXE EXEC_UTC_01.was

It will start procomm and run the .was file

I have been using pwexit to cause procomm to shut down when the script is finished, but I would prefere not to use pwexit.

Anybody know of a command line argument that indicates to procomm that it should shut down when the script is done running?

thanks

I notice you are specifying the '.was' script source file which is allowed but this will cause Procomm to compile the script before running it every time. I personally would use the '.wax' (pre)-compiled script when running from the command line.
As far as the command line parameters:
There is no option to specify that procomm close after a script terminates. The documentation for command line options for running procomm can be found by:
1. Open Help - Script Reference
2. From Index or Find Tab type "startup" in the search input.
3. Select "Command Line Options"
Note: do not search on "command line options" at least my version doesn't find it.

What you can do however is end your script with the PWexit command. This is supposed to shut down Procomm. But I believe there has been a thread in the past that had some discussion about someone having a prompt that would pop up asking if Procomm should 'really' shutdown. Just in case that happens for you, you should be aware. There was a solution I think.

Knob may have sonmething on his site about it.
