Is anyone successfully running both versions on the one machine?

All suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks X-)

I'm running both with no problems on NT4 SP6a. I installed 97 first, then installed 2000 in a different directory. You have to be sure to tick the box "do not remove installed versions" (or something like that) during the installation.
I know some people have had a few problems with this. Do you have any specific issues?

There are Issues if you are using VBA code, Excel, Word and Access will be regisetered as Office 2000 for VBA Code, you may even find Excel and Word with Macros error when opening (Only when complex VBA Code has been Written)

Access 2000 will be your Default Database program, You can change this in the registry if you Want 97 to be the default (change the MDB extension Application9 to Application8)

If you Try to Open Access97 files it will want to convert them and if you try opening access2000 files you will get a message Invalid Database format. So ALWAYS open your Access Files wih Access open First (Its Best to Name your Files with a 2k OR 97 SO YOU KNOW WHICH IS WHICH!!)

Best of Luck

I do that at work, ssa, where I have 4 versions of Access running. Can you imagine what fun it is just keeping sample DBs organized? And I STILL try to open them by double-clicking........bad habit! dreamboat@nni.com

Thanks for the help. I don't have the opportunity to try it for a day or two yet but will keep my fingers crossed.
