I'm trying to use the Windows native backup program to run as a scheduled task every evening. The job runs fine while I'm logged in as domain admin, but will not run if I am not physically logged in as domain admin. It seems like the credentials are not saved for the job correctly. Because if I go to the Job Properties and re-type in the domain admin password, then it will run. But as soon as I log off, the credentials seemed to be lost. I have setup domain admins to 'run as a service' and 'run as a batch job' in Group Policy. And the permissions are correct on the directories I am trying to backup...so I am not sure what is causing this problem.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Check the Task Tab in the Scheduled Task.

Near the bottom there is a tick box for "Run only if logged on
