Running informix update statement from CR9

Hi All,

CR9
ODBC driver 3.33
Informix 7

I'm trying to run an update statement from the 'Add command feature' in CR9. I'm using a system DSN, but have tried it with File DSN and OLE DB connection also.

The update statement works find in MSquery, but as soon as I put it into crystal I get a 'Not supported' error.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Most likely update statements are not supported as crystal is designer to be a reporting tool, not a database manipulation tool.

Hi dgillz,

I have in the past successfully used it when writing to a SQL database, its only given me a problem when I've tried to use it with informix.
