Is this a bug?

Test image with white background, picture of a plane on top, alpha = 80%

The image just looks gray and washed out, NOT transparent.

ta,

Jim,

Just tried my test page on IE6 (whatever revision comes with XP). Appears to work 100%

OK. This is weird. Updated my table with a tiled 1x1 png with 80% alpha and went back to the IE6 machine. It has now stopped working. Don't know why. I hate Microsoft.

But at least PNGs are 1000000000% faster than DHTML alpha and 2x2 GIFs. =)

It looks fine on IE5, just no translucent.

I downloaded Opera too, doesn't work. Complains that the server (MS IIS, or ISS, can't remember) requested and unsuported authentication protocol.

cheers,

Jim.
