Running Groupwise Client 7.0 against Groupwise 6.5

I am new to the Groupwise arena so bear with me. I am running Groupwise 6.5 on a Netware 6.5 server. I want to test the ability of Groupwise 7.0 to sync my smartphones (cradleless). I am told I can update my client to 7.0 and then the sync can be run. I upgraded my client and when I try to run Groupwise I get this message: "the version of groupwise you are using cannot access this post office"

Anybody have any ideas?? Is there any other information needed?

you cannot run a version 7 client against an older postoffice. you can use older clients to newer agents but that it
