We just set up our website on a web hosting company running Apache. On 3 of our pages we have input boxes set up for customers to leave there name, contact number etc. for us to give feedback to them. The problem is once we enable front page extensions on our site it screws up the background of our website. If we dont enable xtensions then people who gives us feedback gets an runtime error message. Once the extensions is enabled then people can leave feedback that will email us automatically but then we have to deal with the view of the site being screwed up. How can we get this corrected where the people can leave feedback and our web site will not get messed up when the FP Xtensions are enabled? Please help.

What OS are you running, and what version of Apache?

FPSE are not supported for Apache on Windows at this time, only with unix/linux or for IIS with Windows. This may be the source of your grief.

If so, there are ways to script around the lack of functionality. Newposter

a company is hosting it on their server and it is a Linux server. They have FPSE on their servers but when attemp to enable it on our pages then our pages come out messed up.

I believe that they have to enable the extensions for each user's root directory. If they have not done this, they won't work right, and you have to ask them to enable them for your directory. I had that issue when I was operating as you did with a 3rd party.

Now I run Apache on Windows and use separate script for guestbooks and hit counters. Hover buttons work fine. Newposter
