I have a application I wrote in Foxbase 2.0 that at this time I'm running in a msdos window on Windows 98. I've recently purchased 2 new computers one running Windows 2000
and the other Windows Xp. I've tried to run this program
under both platforms with the same failing results. I'm looking for the correct setting to enter into the pif editor along with any config.nt and autoexec.nt to resolve
my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FoxBase 2 application, if you have the source as you are the developer, can be very easily compiled as FP 2.6 application. Atleast this shall not be an issue.

FoxPro 2.6 works without troubles (with patches applied to FoxPro... and no need to change source codes). This could atleast be your approach, rather than sticking to FoxBase.

Mike,
You didn't indicate whether you are running an app that requires Extended or Expanded memory. But for EMS, I have the following settings under XP (and I believe they were the same in 2000).

On the Memory Page:
Conventional - Total: Auto Initial: Auto
Expanded - Total: Auto
Extended - Total: None
DMPI - Total: Auto

On the Misc Page:
Mouse - QuickEdit: Unchecked
Exclusive Mode: Unchecked
(Everything else here checked, but vary depending on your requierments.)

You can't run using Extended memory - either an Extended Standalone .EXE or using the Extended runtime - they used a Memory manager scheme that's incompatible with those now available in NT / 2000 / XP.
