Hi Does anyone know what should I do in order to run .exe files from an asp page? In case that I need any component please notify it to me.
Thanks in advance

Well, if you set the permissions of the directory it's in to "Read, Write, & Execute", then when you link to an exe in the directory, it will execute (rather than download)...

Is that what you mean??

Well in order to be more accurate I 'm working in a project were from the web interface someone will be able to click a link for example readme.doc and this will activate an asp wich will automaticlly open Word and visitor will be able to change the document.
email: morpheus@realize.gr
thank you

You can't run exe files on the users computer. This would be a big security concern. However, if someone has Office installed, Word files are automatically opened in an embedded version of Word inside the browser.
