Hi,

i tried to run the Excel Add-In "Solver" form Access.
In my Excel workbbook i have a macro running the solver. If I open the workbook und start the macro it is running. But if I create a new Excel.Application from Access, open my workbook and start the macro I get the message from the Solver, that an unexpected internal error occured.

Any ideas? Or do you know anonther solution solving a minimization problem?

Thanx Dorian

You can write your own "goal-seek" function to run within Access. See my post at thread68-434057. It may point the way for you.

Or if it is really just a minimization problem, if the function is continuous, you can take the derivative and just solve for where equals zero.
