Hi -

[Running Novell 5.1 SBE]

I've recently introduced my second server into my NDS Tree. However, since it's not completely set up yet, I've turned if off.

When I run DSREPAIR on my main server, it has "issues" because it can not find/see the 2nd server. How can I run DSREPAIR without it looking for the other server?

Thanks a lot.

Not sure.. maybe since you can force a synch of NDS using

SET DSTRACE=ON from the console, maybe you can try,

SET DSTRACE=OFF

If this is an important Business Server I suggest you not take my advice. Because I am Just Guessing, and will not be responsible for the consequences.

If you do not want your live server to communicate with the one that is switched off, remove the switched off one from the tree. All NetWare servers need to talk to each other depending on what partitions are where on your network. It's not advisable to have it switched off anyway.
