How could I make a dos program run from my delphi program in such a way that there will be no dos consol window appearing, or else the consol will appear as part of the delphi program?

Basically what I'm trying to do is create a program that will start dos programs and be able to minimize everything to 1 icon on the system tray instead of several consols in the task bar.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi garwain,

Look the properties for TOleContainer up in the help,
there is a function/procedure that can run stuff invisibly
by setting a parameter to 0, 1 or 2 (sorry but it has been a
long time since I used one).

I hope this helps, [bobafett] BobbaFet [bobafett]

Everyone has a right to my opinion.

Or call it with 'Shellexecute' and pass the SW_HIDE constant
This will create Icons on the taskbar though.
