I have some questions regarding Diag:

1) Does it slow down a system while running diag?
2) Does diag remove entries from errpt?
3) Is errpt as good as diag?
4) What is the recommended way to run diag? (no users logged in, output to a file, if possible, etc..etc..)

TIA!

1 not noticably
2 no - use errclear for that
3 diag uses info from errlog to diagnose things, errpt just reports the info from errlog
4 depends on the problem - online is a good way to start, then go from there to single-user if you need to diagnose stuff that is in use, and ultimately go to service mode boot or boot from diagnostics cdrom
