Running Detail Report from Inside a summary report 1

I am having a set or reports, one summary including many values as totals and detail reports for each value.

I generate the summary report for certain period, and then run all the details reports for the same period.

My Idea is how to run the details report directly from inside the summery report.

I mean, I generate the Summary report, and then I click on one of the values, the detail reports run directly in the same viewer for the same period showing the details for this value.

Have you looked at the section expert, has the option to hide a section (drill down ok)?

YOu can add an on demand subreport linked to a particular field. Such that when it is clicked a detailed subreport executes.

I would like the detail report to run in a new report viewer screen in full screen.

The drill-down will open in a new tab within the same window. If you insist on it opening in a different window, there's at least one 3rd-party viewer (see list of such tools at

Create a detail report and then add that as a subreport to your main report.

Once added format subreport, select subreport tab

Check on demand subreport
In formula box opposite on demand add the field you want to act as your link.

This will appear light blue in main report, clicking on that will run your su report.

I found that opening the detail report in new tab is satisfactory, therefor thank you everybody espically Ian.
