These are probably dumb questions, but I've never done this before. How do I run a Crystal Report over the web from an ASP page? Can someone give me step-by-step instructions? Is this used instead of Crystal Enterprise? Can anyone run a report even if they don't have Crystal runtime on their PC? Must the database be on the server too?

No such thing as a dumb question... You do not need (and most people can't afford) Crystal Enterprise to web-enable reports - using the sample ASP pages available on Crystal's website (search for aspxmps85.exe), you can easily web-enable reports. The other components you need are a suitably configured server (Windows 2000 and IIS for example). I find it easier to simply install Crystal on the server to make sure I have all the components needs (RDC etc). Of course, if you're using Crystal 9.0, you may want to take a look at the report application server (RAS). Think of it as a stripped down version of Enterprise.

How can I do that using Apache Tomcat web server and JSP pages?

Thanks,
Elisa

I think Apache does not support ASP. You will have to write your web pages in JSP.
