Hi,

I think this used to work in Access 97 but can't get it using 2000. I want to have a record count printed in the report footer section. I put an invisible control in detail whose control source is =1, set to Running Sum Over All, name = IncrementalCount.

In the report footer section, I put a control whose source is =count([IncrementalCount])

When I run the report, it prompts me for IncrementalCount. This prompt is coming from the control in the report footer because when I delete just that control, I don't get prompted.

How do I get the control in the footer to recognize the control in the detail?

TIA,
Susie

Susie,

I think your control source in the footer field should be:
Code:
=[IncrementalCount]
Try that and let us know....
