running-config programs

i am using a toshiba satellite M35X-S111 laptop, it has 256 MB Ram and Win XP home, when it starts it runs slowly. the following programs are under msconfig, what should and shouldn't be running under here.

You need to google and find out what they do. However from your list I would be especially suspicious of.

If after boot up you open a command window and type
"tasklist /v >somefilename.txt"
Without the quotes of course. Then somefilename.txt will hold a list of all the running processes on your PC. You can then open the file with notepad and examine them at your leisure.

You may also want to try hijackthis. Go to and follow the instructions. You will need to download the executable first. The website will examine your process list and inform you whether they are safe or not.
