We have clients who wish to run Crystal Reports 7 .exe compiled reports with Crystal Reports 9 installed on their PCs. It looks like this is a no-no. Has anyone been able to do this? Of course we could just distribute the version 7 .rpt files to them, and 9 would run them OK, but the compiled versions actually have a much nicer appearance, since all the toolbars/etc are not displayed.

hi

when you compile a report you have all the dll and data set to it
if you run this report on a ver 9 crystal install it might have conflict.

Caution: ver 9 is non reversable so be careful if you run this report and then try to save it.

cheers
