I thought I read somewhere that although it is not a standard--it was a bottom of the list --method of getting cable into locations that were already occupied by tenants ---Appreciate any input from anyone--Or if there are guidlines specifically stating not to run in ventilation--that too would be helpfull
I"ve read somewhere that they (standards people) are looking at a new cable rating for cable that is specificially for doing this. I don't remember much about the article, but I believe it was in Cabling Installation & Maintenance Mag. I think they have an online archive if you want to hunt it down.

Thanks Justin--I remember seeing something regarding this--I was pretty sure it had to do with a standard -- or it being considered for standardization but did not have anything to refer to. I know I have talked to installers who have said they have used ventilation for moving cabling from nearly impossible locations, most of them did it at the customers request due to cost.
anyway--I will check the magizine to see--so if anyone else has details--let me know.
