Hi,
We upgraded to BOXI Release 2 about a year ago (from CE9) and there is one thing that is bothering me a bit. Every morning I go into Instance Manager and look for any failed instances and I always get some from users who don't click the OK button after entering a parameter. So, in effect, the parameter stays at NULL (since I default parameters to NULL). With a report that I send out to email recipients from BOXI, if I forget to put a user in the From: box it will prompt me with "Please fill in the From field. If I leave the To: field blank it will prompt me with "Please fill in the To field". Is there any way that if a parameter is NULL that it will prompt "Please fill in the start date" or whatever field is NULL?
I assume I could do this in code but I would rather not alter the generic code unless it is really necessary. It is amazing how often users forget to click the OK button after entering a parameter. It is always the same users over and over and I would love to prompt them at time of entering the parameter. This would seem like something that should be built into the application. Any help?
Thanks,
Bessebo
