The syntax is different from that of ASP that you are using on Microsoft platforms. apache::asp uses perl syntax while the M$ stuff uses VBscript. There are a couple of other alternatives. One way is with ChiliSofts asp for linux which has all sorts of ODBC drivers. While its not free, it does look like it would fill the bill for ya. Heres a link: . A better thing to try might be asp2php which will convert your scripts to php using (faster) native database interfaces instead of ODBC. Did I mention that it, and PHP are free? PHP is very fast and works like a charm in Linux. We run our production website with PHP and MySQL and they are very fast although we get tons of hits. Heres a link to asp2php:
Hope that this helps,
Brian
