Running ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL 2005 on Vista

I hope I have the right forum for this question:

I'm currently looking into buying a new laptop to develop my ASP.NET 2/3.5 / SQL Server 2005 applications on. I read that there were a lot of issues installing SQL 2005 on Vista. I want Vista because i think i should be up to date and within a year i'll probably upgrade to SQL 2008 (or 9?) and whatever version of .NET is out then.

Can anyone answer any or all of the following?

1. Are there still issues installing SQL 2005 on Vista?
2. Which version of Vista is recommended for development purposes?
3. Any hardware recommendations?
4. Can you recommend a good notebook for development purposes (preferably reasonably-priced)
